ReNEW the Zoo Campaig/

Help carry the zoo forward for future generations.
Some places don’t just stay with us; they stay with our families. The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park has become part of family stories across generations—built and sustained by people who believed in its value and invested in its future. Now, it’s our turn.
As the zoo ages and standards for animal care, accessibility and guest experience evolve, we must ensure this community treasure remains a place of wonder, learning, connection and conservation for generations to come.

What’s Needed to ReNEW the Zoo?
With a $2 million commitment already made by Brown County, the NEW Zoological Society invites the community to help raise an additional $4 million to support:
Habitat Enhancements — $2 Million
Improve animal habitats to support natural behaviors, well-being and meaningful connections between animals and guests. Plans include a new red panda habitat, expanded penguin habitat, moose encounter enhancements, lion hut renovations and otter habitat upgrades.
Visitor Experiences — $1 Million
Create a more accessible, comfortable and welcoming zoo for every generation with more interactive learning opportunities, improved accessibility and guest spaces designed to improve enjoyment.
Maintenance Endowment — $1 Million
Build long-term financial stability through a $1 million maintenance endowment, matched 2:1 by Brown County. The endowment will help keep facilities vibrant and functional, maintain consistent animal care and protect donor investments over time.

”We believe the NEW Zoo is a huge value-add to our community. We have made personal commitments to the Zoo and continue to see great opportunities ahead. We invite the community to join us in this effort to ReNEW our Zoo as it is a vital community asset.”
– Lee and Kathy Anderson
Why Support the NEW Zoological Society?
Zoos strengthen a community in ways that aren’t always obvious but are deeply felt. The NEW Zoo:
- Provides education that sparks curiosity and empathy in young minds
- Creates shared experiences across generations and backgrounds
- Supports animal conservation efforts that extend beyond our region
- Enhances quality of life, helping make our community a place people want to live, work and raise families
- Serves as an economic and cultural asset, drawing visitors and pride to Northeast Wisconsin
ReNEW the Zoo is not about expansion. It is about care, continuity and responsibility. One day, future generations will walk these same paths. They won’t see the decisions made behind the scenes. They’ll feel that the zoo is thriving, welcoming and full of life. That is the lasting impact of giving!
