In 2023, the program led its first expedition in over a decade to Tanzania, an unforgettable journey that continues to inspire future expeditions for those passionate about protecting our planet’s natural wonders. The success of our previous adventures showcases how exciting and impactful these trips can be!
South Africa 2025
Our sold-out adventure to Cape Town and Greater Kruger National Park in fall 2025 offered travelers a memorable journey through South Africa’s most iconic landscapes and wildlife destinations. Highlights included exploring Cape Town’s Table Mountain and Cape Point, visiting SANCCOB to learn about and observe African penguins at Boulders Beach and whale-watching in Hermanus. The trip continued with a safari in Makalali Private Game Reserve, where guests encountered the “Big Five,” joined conservation experts in the field and enjoyed daily game drives before concluding with a visit to Johannesburg.
Costa Rica 2024
In fall 2024, we embarked on a nine-day conservation-focused journey through the wilds of Costa Rica, offering a mesmerizing look at the country’s rich ecosystems and biodiversity. Traveling through destinations such as Tortuguero, La Selva, La Fortuna, Arenal and Monteverde, the group experienced both flora and fauna up close, including memorable encounters with tropical wildlife such as sloths at a local sanctuary.
The Serengeti 2023
For the first time in over 13 years, the NEW Zoological Society hosted a 10-day conservation journey to Tanzania, led by representative Kristine Schuetze and Zoo Director Carmen Murach. Beginning in Arusha, the group explored some of the country’s most iconic wildlife destinations, including Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the renowned Serengeti National Park. Complete with breathtaking safaris and guided excursions, this trip inspired the wanderlust and motivation to plan future annual adventures!
