Conservation Travel

The New Zoological Society’s Conservation Travel Program is an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in wildlife and wild places abroad. They organize trips to various destinations, allowing you to explore and contribute to conservation efforts.

In 2023, the NEW Zoological Society showed its passion for adventure and conservation by teaming up with Sunset Family Travel and GLOBUS Vacations to take wildlife lovers away on an unforgettable journey to Tanzania. This marked the first time in over a decade that such an expedition was organized, and we’re thrilled to keep this spirit of exploration alive for all who are passionate about conserving our planet’s natural wonders.  View photos from that trip HERE.

The New Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Being AZA-accredited means that the Zoo has met certain standards and criteria for animal care, conservation, education, and more. It’s like a stamp of approval that shows the Zoo is committed to providing high-quality care for the animals, supporting conservation efforts, and educating the public about wildlife. AZA-accredited Zoos play an important role in species preservation and promoting awareness about the importance of biodiversity. Conservation is a priority for AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums and is a key component of their missions.
