For the first time in over 13 years, the NEW Zoological Society hosted a conservation trip to Africa. Led by NEW Zoological Society representative Kristine Schuetze, and Zoo Director Carmen Murach, the group embarked on a 10-day conservation trip through the African nation of Tanzania that included numerous wildlife safaris and guided excursions.
Our journey began in Arusha, Tanzania where were spent our first night before beginning our search for wildlife. Our first stop was Tarangire National Park. We then headed to Lake Manyara National Park , followed by Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the famous Ngorongoro Crater. We ended our trip with several days in the Serengeti National Park before our flight back to Arusha and then home.
